Denver couple Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore sold most of their possessions, bought a sailboat and spent much of the next year traversing the Atlantic Ocean. Though their story sounds as though it was plucked from one of our winter fantasies, the husband-and-wife duo had been carefully planning the voyage ever since they met in college. But what they didn't foresee was that the trip would rekindle their love of music and fuel their careers in the indie-rock band Tennis.
Both Riley and Moore had been musicians in various unsuccessful bands throughout the years, but had since stowed away their instruments in dusty closets. As their seven-month voyage carried them 2,500 miles across the Atlantic, they found joy in the simplicity of their unregulated lifestyle. "I think we had both put our music equipment away pretty much forever, thinking we would never approach playing music as a lifestyle again until we went sailing," says Riley.

'Spiderman' Star Who Plummeted 35 Feet Ready to Return to Show
Christopher Tierney is ready to to return to Spider-Man on Broadway just four months after he plummeted more than 35 feet in a stunt gone wrong.
"His back's fine. They've taken the bolts and the nuts and everything out," producer Michael Cohl tells the New York Post of the actor, who suffered a fractured skull, a fractured shoulder blade, four broken ribs and three broken vertebrae when he fell on Dec. 20.
The $65 million show (the most expensive in Broadway's history) is on hiatus as its script and music problems are fixed.
It's slated to open again on June 14.

Eldard Packs On The Pounds To Play Rotund Roadie

Black Hawk Down star Ron Eldard packed on 20 pounds (nine kilograms) in just two weeks to play a roadie in his latest movie.
The film star packed on a total of 38 pounds (17 kilograms) while making Roadie - and he was amazed how easy it was to get fat.
He tells WENN, "I would eat late at night; every night I would have many slices of pizza, milkshakes, candy, french fries and fried food.
"I ate well during the day so I wouldn't fall asleep at work. I was so uncomfortable. I was sweaty but it was great for the role. Every day I would go to craft service and load up bowls of candy and cookies."
Eldard is now losing the weight, so he can portray a washed-up rocker in a new film based on his own screenplay.
He adds, "I'm actually writing a script about a rock star that I hope to star in and direct. It's about a guy who was a star and the business has changed so and he has a major substance abuse problem. It's a road trip movie. It's his struggle to come to terms with what is going on in his life."

The Late Pope John Paul II To Be One Step Closer To Sainthood In Beatification Ceremony

Thousands have gathered in Rome in preparation for the beatification of the late Pope John Paul II on Sunday.
The process usually takes centuries, however John Paul's successor, Pope Benedict, fast-tracked the beatification just six years after his death.
Before Sunday's mass, the coffin of John Paul was exhumed and will be placed before the main altar for viewing. After the ceremony, he will be known as "the Blessed John Paul II" and will be one step closer to sainthood.
The movement doesn't come without protests as many believe the former pope helped to cover up the sexual abuse claims made against the Catholic Church.
Others argue that his beatification simply symbolizes the approval of a popular pope who helped bring down Communism.
Andrea Riccardi, the founder of the Community of Sant?Egidio, a liberal Catholic group and a biographer of John Paul testified in favor of his beatification:
"This beatification is different because this pope is different. He?s a man with a role in history, not just in church history. The seal of sainthood doesn?t close the debate on history. In a certain sense, for many Catholics he?s already a saint, even without beatification and, let?s be honest, even without a miracle."
Whether or not anyone approves the beatification, it still is history in the making and will be a reason to celebrate his life and the Church.
