As the light ? Author Chen June ? Book Review

June Chen's debut novel, "Seeing the Light: A Novel" takes you to a life in a selfish and egocentric girl awakening to the meaning of life. The story unfolds like a soap opera, while a series of events for Rea, the only daughter of a peasant family with three brothers. His father called the princess a little "sarcastic, because of his lack of female vanity. The family moved from the Midwest to the central coast of California to raise their own livestockwest of San Luis Obispo. The story begins in California, when Rhea was a young girl and follows her into maturity and his "seeing the light."

June Chen writes in a way to convey the story without much embellish descriptions, or by filling in details extraneous water to the story. It is not ostentatious with their choice of words, did the book simply by its meaning understood by all ? especially young people. It is a lively read and a lot of lessonslearned that they allow the reader some time and is a pleasant book.
